Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking enthusiastic instructors for snow sports lessons. We offer a starting wage of $20.00/hour with opportunities for wage increases as you gain certifications, across full-time and part-time seasonal roles.

Training clinics are provided, and schedules vary with business volume to accommodate peak periods. Instructors teach all levels, from beginner to advanced, in a supportive, safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Skiing or riding experience required.
• Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Certification is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic hosted by Snowsports School.
• Must be available on key dates: Dec. 27-31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19.

Responsibilities

• Teach skiing at all ability levels.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Deliver lessons through group, private, and seasonal programs.
• Participate in instructor training and professional development.
• Assist with lesson area setup and surface lift operations.
• Support Snow School operations: registration, lunch, and carpet zones.
• Communicate clearly with guests, guardians, and team members.

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are passionate about snow sports and love helping others learn. In this role, instructors will deliver lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced guests of all ages in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Full Time and Part Time seasonal positions available. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume. Starting wage of $20.00/hour, increased hourly wages with certifications.

• Strong social and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic hosted by Snowsports School

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to weekends and holidays.
