Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring Seasonal Ski Instructors for the winter of 2026/2027 in Pennsylvania. The position offers a pay range of $21.00 to $64.34 per hour, depending on experience and teaching incentives. Responsibilities include teaching ski lessons to guests of all ages, creating a fun and safe learning environment, and providing excellent guest service. Candidates must have a PSIA Level 1 certification and be at least 16 years old. Housing availability is provided, with part-time shifts available.

Full and Part Time positions available.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage: $21.00/hr - $64.34/hr

Pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may have opportunities to earn more with additional teaching incentives.

Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027.

Shift Type: Part Time hours available. For Full‑Time Instructors, a 40‑hour workweek is not guaranteed. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume.

Minimum Age: At least 16 years of age.

Housing Availability: Yes.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach group and private lessons.
• Work with guests of all ages and abilities.
• Deliver world‑class guest service to all guests.
• Create a safe and fun learning environment.
• Support all ski school needs inclusive of scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, fitting equipment.
• Provide guest feedback that inspires and creates lifelong skiers and riders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum PSIA/AASI instructor Level 1 certification or ISIA equivalent and above.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older.
• Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.
• The role you are being hired into requires further background check clearances by the State of Pennsylvania, which will need to be completed before you can begin work. For more information on the clearances, click here.
