Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company at Stratton is seeking enthusiastic snow instructors for seasonal roles. You will teach beginner to advanced guests in a safe, fun setting, delivering group, private, and seasonal programs.

Starting wage is $20.00/hour with increases as you gain certifications; full-time and part-time seasonal positions are available. Recruitment will continue through December to fill shifts.

Qualifications

• Skiing or riding experience is required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Certification a plus, but not mandatory.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic.
• Must be available on the following key dates: Dec 27–31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are passionate about snow sports and love helping others learn. In this role, instructors will deliver lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced guests of all ages in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Full Time and Part Time seasonal positions available. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume. Starting wage of $20.00/hour, increased hourly wages with certifications.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Skiing or riding experience (required)
• Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent, required
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Certification a plus, but not mandatory
• Teaching experience preferred (in Snowsports or other fields)
• Strong social and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic hosted by Snowsports School
• Must be available on the following key dates: Dec. 27 - 31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to weekends and holidays.
