Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the Global WHS Program implementation and act as the safety champion on site. You will conduct risk assessments, analyze safety data, lead audits, and manage first aid and emergency response to protect associates while supporting productivity.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence decisions with Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Preferred: Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization.
• Certified Safety Professional.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leader.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety compliance efforts and conduct site audits.
• Analyze incident trends to target improvements where they matter most.
• Manage first aid program and emergency response capabilities.
• Build relationships and influence positive change across Operations leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
