Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Site Logistics Operations Performance Leader at the Texas Operations site in Freeport, Texas.

You will lead logistics activities, drive safety culture, and partner with Production, Maintenance and Engineering to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations across loading, storage, transfer and transportation of chemicals. The role requires a strong manufacturing background, experience with hazardous materials, and a track record of coaching teams to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related technical discipline, or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E-5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class/Sergeant ranking.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/operations experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, or similarly high-hazard environment.
• Understanding of process safety, operational discipline, risk management, and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working with hazardous materials or complex industrial processes.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operations performance across site logistics activities (loading, unloading, storage, transfer, transport).
• Develop and maintain a strong safety culture through visible leadership and coaching with operations personnel.
• Drive operational discipline and compliance with process safety, environmental, regulatory, and operating requirements.
• Partner with production facilities to safely and reliably execute logistics activities supporting manufacturing operations.
• Lead and develop operators, shift leaders and technical personnel to achieve safe, reliable daily operations.
• Strengthen team capability through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, reliability, productivity and cost performance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks related to hazardous chemical handling and facility operations.
• Improve management systems, work processes and operating procedures to drive sustainable performance.
• Prioritize resources to maximize value creation and eliminate non-value-added work.
• Ensure corrective actions from self-assessments, audits, RCIs and KPI gaps are implemented.
• Champion operational excellence through data, metrics and risk-based decision making.
• Support Facility Work Group Leader as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and EH&S to improve performance.
