Job summary

Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Tallahassee, Florida has an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer – Site / Civil Engineering. We seek an engineer with land development and community development design experience, based in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, or Orlando.

The role involves client and government interaction, site, grading, drainage, erosion control and utility planning, with growth opportunities in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of civil/site design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs through sketches, models, diagrams and visuals.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare site, utility and grading plans.
• Lead project coordination meetings with team and external consultants.
• Attend client project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support scope, budget, staffing and scheduling with seniors.
• Prepare project specifications and construction documents.
• Perform calculations with standard company and vendor software.
• Participate in constructability reviews and QA/QC checks.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently.
