Job summary

Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Tallahassee, Florida has an opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer – Site / Civil Engineering. We seek a candidate with professional practice and design experience related to land development.

The role may be based in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, or Orlando, Florida. Responsibilities include design of site, grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility plans, along with design reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in Civil Engineering civil/site design.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Engage in development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Utilize AutoCAD / Civil 3D in development of site plans, utility plans and grading plans.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Participate in client project meetings.
• Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
• Perform and oversee calculations using company software.
• Participate in constructability review.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on projects.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently.
