Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plans of care and educate patients across age groups. The role supports clinicians and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students, following the therapist's plan and documenting communications.

The position includes a sign-on bonus and requires PTA licensure and BLS; ongoing education may be required for DNV Hip and Knee Certification standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Continuing education may be required to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Complete annual education as assigned to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Program requirements.
