Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement a therapist-led plan of care for patients of all ages. The PTA will educate patients and families, follow the plan of care, and document thoroughly while collaborating with the care team.

This role includes mandatory ongoing education for DNV Hip and Knee Certification and a sign-on bonus. Licensed PTA with BLS and Illinois licensure is required; a strong commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) required (Illinois IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required CEU as part of DNV Hip and Knee Certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documented communication.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Certification when assigned.
