Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care set by the physical therapist for patients of all ages. The role offers a sign-on bonus and requires licensure as a PTA, BLS within 30 days, and ongoing education to meet DNV Hip/Knee standards.

Responsibilities include patient education, following the plan of care with clinician communication, and maintaining documentation per CTSCP67. Collaboration with the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in PTA program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) per IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care as directed by the organization.
• Must pass board exam at next available date.
• DNV Hip and Knee Certification content may apply to total joint practices.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and health care staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment after communication with the evaluating therapist and daily documentation.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Program requirements.
