Job summary

Burlington Stores in Spring, Texas is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and participate in shortage-reduction programs. Report theft to the Manager on Duty and support training for associates. This part-time role offers a base pay of $14.50 per hour and requires standing, flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the store entrance/exit and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and confident greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious behavior to the Manager on Duty.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Maintain professional appearance and dress standards while on shift.
