Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure, welcoming shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, report suspicious activity, and support shortage reduction programs.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced retail setting. Part-time schedule available with competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance for the entire shift and reduce opportunities for theft and shoplifting.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist with bag checks and reinforce safety and security standards.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
