Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help protect the store and deliver excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers warmly, and report any theft incidents to the Manager on Duty while upholding company values.

The role requires the ability to stand/walk for extended periods, maintain confidentiality, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part-time positions offer associate discounts and potential benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
• Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet customers entering or exiting with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting, promoting a sense of control and security.
• Identify and report theft incidents and/suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
