Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will be stationed at store entrances and high‑risk areas to deter theft and protect assets, while greeting customers with a confident, friendly presence. The role requires awareness, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers; leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance and high‑risk areas to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Greet every customer with a confident, friendly, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Support store leadership and participate in shortage reduction programs training.
