Job summary

Ryder in West Sacramento, CA is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage a shift, supervise technicians, and drive performance across safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will partner with the Operations Manager, coordinate labor needs, and ensure customer uptime while meeting financial targets. The role offers a stable schedule, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with weekly pay and a path for advancement within Ryder.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement
• Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: analyze, plan, schedule, assign work to technicians, track productivity, and lead shift meetings.
• Labor management: train, develop, and perform performance management.
• Customer management: manage customer relationships, ensure uptime, communicate PM schedules, visits as needed.
• Asset management: maintain shop appearance, equipment needs, and vehicle specs in SAM.
• Quality management: conduct inspections, root-cause analysis and corrective actions; ensure cleanliness and quality.
• Financial management: control maintenance costs, approvals, invoicing, payroll, and P/O.
