Position Summary

The Ops Supervisor assists the Ops Manager/Sr. Ops Manager with the operations and personnel for a shift at a specific location. The Ops Supervisor may have supervisory duties of employees on a shift, including but not limited to Technicians-in‑Charge, Customer Service Coordinators, Technicians, and Service Employees. The Ops Supervisor must accomplish results, ensure business objectives and labor requirements are met, and balance financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset targets against business requirements. This position is responsible for managing location performance against metrics and may serve as a developmental role preparing incumbents for the Ops Manager position. The Ops Supervisor is cross‑functionally trained to back up others within the shop and must adhere to all Ryder Maintenance Operations policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Workflow Management: Analyze, plan, schedule and assign work to technicians, track productivity, conduct shift and shop meetings, review and approve reports, ensure warranty policies and procedures are executed, triage unscheduled customer drive‑ins, conduct yard checks, and communicate with customers.
• Labor Management: Train and develop all personnel, manage performance.
• Customer Management: Maintain customer relationships, resolve issues, ensure vehicle uptime and satisfaction, manage communication protocol for PM scheduling, breakdowns, and status updates; conduct customer visits as required.
• Asset Management: Maintain location appearance to sustain equipment standards, recommend tooling and equipment, oversee vehicle specifications and in‑service/out‑service processes, manage parts inventory.
• Quality Management: Inspect PM & repairs, conduct in‑process reviews, perform root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions, ensure cleanliness and quality, assist in quality assurance audits.
• Financial Management: Meet net maintenance cost per unit objectives, control maintenance budget and P&L, execute maintenance initiatives, manage payroll, purchase orders, invoices, fuel reconciliation, customer bill‑back processes, and maintain data integrity.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Professionally represent Ryder and interact with customer management.
• Strong vehicle diagnostic/repair knowledge (preferred).
• Microsoft Office (intermediate preferred).

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred or 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment required.
• Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office (intermediate preferred).

Other Information

Shop Location: North Las Vegas, NV
Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Annual Salary: $70 K (plus bonus incentive)
