Aston Carter is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a contract-to-hire role in Georgetown, KY. You will coordinate outbound shipments, manage transfers, and align production scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate degree (or equivalent) in related field required.
• Minimum 2 years in production planning, shipping, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments and internal material transfers.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation and schedules.
• Monitor production plans to support on-time customer deliveries.
• Communicate shipment status and inventory availability to stakeholders.
• Track shipments and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipping, scheduling, and logistics issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Maintain accurate records and perform admin tasks for production control and shipping.
• Communicate schedule or priority changes to cross-functional teams.
• Provide after-hours support for urgent operational needs.
