Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Chattanooga to oversee outbound shipments and inbound deliveries, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate documentation and timely scheduling.

The role requires experience in shipment coordination, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire position is fully onsite with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipment coordination for outbound finished products and inbound raw materials.
• Strong experience in shipping coordination, including scheduling and documentation.
• Ability to coordinate internal truck drivers and supply chain activities.
• Knowledge of logistics processes, including rail logistics management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with computer systems used for shipment documentation and label printing.
• Understanding of warehouse management practices related to shipping, receiving, and inventory.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments to domestic and international customers.
• Manage inbound shipments of raw materials and schedule deliveries.
• Communicate with Sales, Manufacturing, freight companies, and brokers to ensure smooth operations.
• Schedule outbound loads and coordinate with the warehouse team for staging and loading.
• Print labels and ensure shipment documentation is complete and accurate.
• Handle container numbers and seals and update related documentation in the system.
• Understand plant operations to support material and product flow.
• Manage rail logistics for the facility and related documentation.
• Assist with warehouse management activities related to shipping and receiving.
• Support payroll-related tasks for logistics or warehouse staff as required.
