Job summary

NFI Industries, located in Illinois, seeks a Warehouse Operations Clerk to ensure shipping documents are accurate and timely. The role reports to the Operations Supervisor or Manager and requires coordination with outbound carriers and site personnel.

Responsibilities include opening/closing shipments in the warehouse management system, preparing bills of lading, and ensuring drivers depart with proper paperwork. The position also supports receiving, packing, loading, and data maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, not required.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Lift and move totes up to 50–100 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching.
• Able to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Communicates via email with outbound carriers daily, providing schedules for outbound shipments and equipment needs.
• Communicates with site personnel to ensure operations meet requirements.
• Receive all drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
• Using a warehouse management system, open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
• Ensure drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain shipping documents with strict SOP adherence.
• Gather and enter data into the warehouse management system for shipping activities.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, packing, or loading.
• Actively monitors trailer capacity and coordinates with spotters on trailer moves.
• Assist with additional administrative duties as needed by leadership.
• File outbound paperwork for easy accessibility.
• Maintain seal logs and load boards with accurate information.
• Communicate work assignments as needed.
