Job summary

NFI is seeking a Warehouse Operations Clerk to ensure shipping documents are completed accurately and on time.

You will communicate with outbound carriers, work with the warehouse management system to open/close shipments, and prepare bills of lading while maintaining meticulous records. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle changing priorities, and the stamina to stand and walk throughout shifts, including irregular hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle changing priorities and work under stress.
• Good visual acuity and finger dexterity for data input.
• Input data to create daily inventory reports.
• Accurate recordkeeping and item verification.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Stand/walk for 10-12 hours.
• Lift 50-100 pounds.
• Walk/stand in a facility over a quarter mile.

Responsibilities

• Communicates via email with outbound carriers daily, providing schedules for outbound shipments and equipment needs.
• Communicates with site personnel to ensure operations meet requirements.
• Receive drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
• Use WMS to open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading.
• Ensure drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documents by SOPs.
• Gather and enter data into WMS and maintain shipping records.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with material handling duties (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, loading).
• Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate with spotters.
• Assist with other admin duties as needed by leadership.
• File outbound paperwork for easy access.
• Maintain seal log and load board accuracy.
• Communicate work assignments such as appointments and loads as needed.
