Job summary

Cooper Farms is hiring a Shipping Associate for the 1st shift to join our Spring Meadow Farms team in Rossburg, Ohio. The role supports unloading, scanning, and preparing products for shipment across our turkey, hog and egg operations.

The position offers weekend-into-midweek shifts (Sun-Wed, with an optional 5th day) from 7:00am to 4:30pm, starting at $17.90–$21.45 per hour with potential increases after 90 days. Comprehensive benefits accompany this team role.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
High School Diploma is strongly preferred.
2 years of experience with Cooper Farms or a similar operation is preferred.
Must have intermediate reading, writing, and math skills as well as advanced interpersonal and computer skills.

Responsibilities

Unload materials to designated areas such as dry storage, cooler or staging area.
Scan incoming and outgoing products and materials into the CAT² System.
Repair damaged racks returned from customers (brackets, wheels, etc.).
Sweep trailer before loading; check refrigeration units; wrap, load and secure product for shipment.

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Shipping Associate to join our Spring Meadow Farms team in Rossburg.

Brief Description

SHIFT HOURS:

Sunday through Wednesday 7:00am-4:30pm with an optional 5th day on Thursday.

STARTING HOURLY RATE:

$17.90-$21.45 with a potential increase after 90 days.

ADDITIONAL PAY:

Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All Training Will Be Provided. Job Functions Include

Unloading materials to be placed in designated areas such as dry storage, cooler or staging area.
Scanning all incoming and outgoing products and materials into the CAT² System.
Repairing damaged racks returned from the customer which may consist of bending and straightening brackets, removing plastic wrap from the wheels, and minimal welding.
Sweeping out trailer before loading and checking refrigeration units, as well as wrapping, loading and securing product to be shipped.
