Serco Inc. seeks Advanced Mechanical Assemblers to join a high-profile project supporting the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA. You will fabricate and assemble electromechanical assemblies from blueprints and diagrams, and work aboard naval ships and military installations.

The role requires a High School Diploma, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, OSHA certification, forklift cert, shipboard experience, and willingness to work 2nd/3rd shifts with overtime. Safety and HAZMAT practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to access shipyards and pass background/drug screening.
• OSHA certification.
• Respirator qualification and proper PPE.
• Forklift certification.
• 5+ years using power tools and assembling mechanical assemblies.
• Shipboard experience 5+ years.
• Willingness to work 2nd/3rd shift and overtime.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate and assemble electromechanical and electronic assemblies from blueprints.
• Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer instructions.
• Work aboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
• Follow safety and HAZMAT controls.
• Operate light machinery and bolt/cableways.
• Read drawings and assemble with minimal supervision.
• Travel up to 10% to various sites.
