Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Assembler to support U.S. Navy shipboard installations and C5ISR systems in Norfolk, VA. You will assemble electromechanical components on high-technology kits and work closely with a naval-focused team.

The role requires blueprint-reading, use of power tools, and comfort with challenging shipboard environments. A DoD security clearance and shipyard access are required or must be obtainable.

Qualifications

• Read drawings and diagrams to fabricate and assemble electromechanical components.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance and shipyard access.
• Experience with power tools and precision assembly on shipboard hardware.
• Comfort working in shipboard, noisy and variable environments.
• Commitment to safety and ability to pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble electromechanical and electronic assemblies from blueprints.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Work with established procedures and on-time deliverables.
• Adapt to shipboard constraints and high-heat environments.
