Job summary

Serco is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Assembler to support a high-profile Navy project in Norfolk, VA. You will assemble electromechanical systems per blueprints, perform maintenance, and operate in a challenging shipboard environment.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, OSHA certification, forklift operation, and at least 5 years of hands-on tool experience. You may travel up to 10% and work on multiple shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to access NAVSTA & DBIDS shipyards and pass background/drug screening.
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification and respirator qualification.
• Ability to wear proper PPE and operate heavy equipment including forklifts.
• 5+ years experience with power tools and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to fabricate and assemble electromechanical assemblies.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Work with limited experience to plan and accomplish goals.
• Work on U.S. Naval Ships and military installations, including challenging environments.
