Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks an Assistant Hotel Manager to join our shipboard team for the 2026 season. You will assist the Hotel Manager in managing the hotel department, supervise hotel staff, and ensure service excellence across dining, housekeeping, guest services, and crew programs.

The role requires a minimum 3 years of management in hospitality, willingness to travel, and a flexible schedule. USCG drug testing and TWIC are required, with strong leadership and guest-focused service as core

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Hotel & Restaurant Management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Business degree may be considered with management and hospitality experience.
• Minimum 3 years management experience at a full-service hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Available to travel and work a flexible schedule including long days for extended periods of time.
• US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Hotel Department under the Hotel Manager.
• Assist Hotel Manager and Dining Room Manager during meal services.
• Perform duties of Hotel General Manager when the GM is off ship.
• Ensure cleanliness of staterooms and public spaces and supervise inspections.
• Oversee bar operations and manage wine/liquor inventory.
• Provide leadership and maintain professional presence onboard.
• Be visible to guests and crew and uphold American Cruise Lines’ standards.
• Assist with crew orientation, scheduling, and discipline.
• Support ship officers in achieving sales goals and maintain shipboard operations.
