Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and adherence to company standards in the absence of management.

You will manage opening/closing, inventory, and safety procedures, while guiding a team to meet service goals. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or must have 1 or more years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, security, setup, food prep, and cleaning.
• Monitor customer service and speed of service to meet company goals; maintain cleanliness and QSC standards.
• Prioritize tasks, manage breaks, adjust staffing based on sales, and consult with Area Leader as needed.
• Train and support team on new products and procedures.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, audits, and compliance with procedures during shifts.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
