Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and to fill in for the General Manager when needed. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences while ensuring team compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, cash handling, training staff, and maintaining QSC standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and a commitment to safety and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including security and inventory checks.
• Ensure customer service and speed of service meet company goals and health standards.
• Manage break policies and adjust staffing based on sales volume.
• Train and support team members on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash registers, deposits, and verify catering orders during shifts.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to maintain high satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
