Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to company standards. You will lead the crew, manage opening/closing, and coordinate tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and maintaining safety, cleanliness, and food safety program compliance, with opportunities for career growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or must have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures, including security protocols and inventory checks.
• Maintain service speed and quality, ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety and QSC standards.
• Adjust staffing and supervise break policies to optimize productivity during shifts.
• Train and support team members on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash operations, deposits, and shift accountability.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to ensure a positive experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
