Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and adherence to company standards. The role includes supervising opening/closing, inventory checks, and cash handling, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing breaks, staff scheduling, training on new products and procedures, and supporting management to meet service metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including security and inventory checks.
• Ensure customer service and speed of service metrics meet company goals; uphold QSC and health code standards.
• Prioritize tasks, manage breaks and staffing based on sales volume.
• Train team on new products and operational procedures.
• Handle cash operations, deposits, and audits while on shift.
• Greet customers and ensure a friendly, helpful service experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
