Job summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations, mentor teammates, and uphold MOD’s standards during shifts. You will ensure a welcoming, efficient service, manage deployment of staff, assist with training and program rollouts, and drive guest satisfaction while partnering with the GM to meet daily objectives.

You will balance hands-on tasks with leadership, adapt to peak periods, and maintain safety and quality across Front and Back of House.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Must have demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer or informal leader.
• Have a proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
• Have the ability to be a calming presence in periods of high volume.
• You must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of your start date or sooner where required by law.
• You should be proficient in written and oral communication.
• Have the ability to support restaurant hours working a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for all new hires.
• Ensure the squad is deployed effectively and adjust as needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support new program rollouts.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment, including online ordering and catering.
• Ensure food safety and standards across Back of House and Front of House.
• Address guest and squad concerns and escalate when needed.
• Manage cash within the shift and handle refunds as required.
• Take inventory and place orders as directed by the GM.
• Follow shift checklists and communicate updates from the Slice and other sources.
