Job summary

MOD Pizza in Portland, OR is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for new hires, program rollouts, and standards. You’ll be the senior squad member on shift, ensuring tasks are completed and guests have an outstanding MOD experience.

You’ll manage deployment of crew, uphold food safety, handle cash, and assist the GM with inventory and ordering.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Proven ability to mentor, train, or lead peers.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to follow and enforce processes and standards with compassionate coaching.
• Ability to remain calm under high volume.
• Food safety and/or alcohol certification within 30 days where required by law.
• Strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and deploy for daily operations.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support new program rollouts.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment, including online ordering and catering.
• Ensure food safety using MOD tools and standards.
• Address squad member and guest concerns; escalate to AM or GM as needed.
• Manage cash within the shift and process refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders with GM support.
• Follow opening/midday/closing checklists and use tools to meet requirements.
• Review emails for information from Slice and other sources to keep the squad effective.
