Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shift teams at our travel plazas. You will ensure top-notch customer service, supervise team members, and ensure adherence to brand and food safety standards across the operation.

The role includes training new hires, managing cash handling procedures, and completing opening/closing checklists. You will also assist with food prep, stock, and cross-selling opportunities to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Complete kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services in the plaza.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
