Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure customer service excellence, and enforce brand standards and food safety. You’ll train new team members, monitor cash handling, and support opening/closing procedures across the plaza.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and flexible availability including nights and weekends. Prior supervisory experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
