Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead hospitality, uphold cafe standards, and drive daily operations. You will guide team focus on guest experience, safety, and quality while mentoring staff and ensuring smooth service.

The role emphasizes training, inventory oversight, and ensuring excellent beverage and food preparation. A flexible schedule and a passion for learning are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Completed Blue Bottle Academy Barista training and validation or will complete within 90 days post-hire.
• Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state and role, or obtained within 30 days post-hire.
• Flexible schedule and availability mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospitality standards and elevate the coffee experience while meeting business objectives.
• Oversee service flow to maintain safety, cleanliness, quality, and efficiency.
• Handle cash, deposits, and daily reconciliations.
• Onboard and train new team members; provide coaching and feedback.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory management; ensure proper routines.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and maintain Blue Bottle standards in beverage and food prep.
• Mentor team members and model exemplary behavior, with a focus on learning and Omotenashi.
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and ensure a safe, respectful workplace.
