Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead cafe operations with a focus on hospitality and quality. This role ensures safety, standards, and efficiency while guiding the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will help manage inventory, onboarding, and daily tasks, fostering a culture of learning and accountability across the shift. A customer-centric, collaborative mindset is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience or experience in team leadership.
• Completed Blue Bottle Academy’s Barista training and validation program or will complete it within 90 days post-hire.
• Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state you will be working in and for your specific role, or will obtain it within 30 days post-hire.
• Flexible schedule and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service flow to uphold safety, cleanliness, quality, and efficiency.
• Execute ordering, receiving, and inventory management duties.
• Lead onboarding and training of new team members.
• Manage cash handling and daily deposits.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure beverage and food preparation align with standards.
• Coach and mentor team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and team engagement.
