Job summary

Blue Bottle is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead hospitality at the cafe, uphold company standards, and drive sales growth. You’ll oversee service flow, train staff, manage inventory and cash handling, and ensure safety and quality across daily operations.

The role emphasizes teamwork, guest satisfaction, and a hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and sustainability in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of supervisory experience or team leadership.
• Completion of Blue Bottle Academy Barista training or plan to complete within 90 days.
• Food Safety Certification required for the state of work or obtained within 30 days.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service flow to maintain safety, quality and hospitality.
• Lead onboarding and training of new team members.
• Handle cash and daily deposits; manage inventory and ordering.
• Uphold cafe standards and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide guidance on menu updates and operational procedures.
• Foster teamwork and communicate effectively with guests.
