Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead cafe hospitality, uphold standards, and drive business objectives. You will oversee service flow, inventory, training, and guest engagement, while modeling exemplary behavior and sustainability initiatives.

Our ideal candidate has supervisory experience, completed or will complete Barista training, and holds a valid Food Safety Certification. This on-site role requires flexibility and a passion for coffee excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in leadership or supervisory roles desired.
• Completed Blue Bottle Academy Barista training or will complete within 90 days post-hire.
• Food Safety Certification required for the state and role, or will obtain within 30 days post-hire.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead cafe operations to ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and efficiency.
• Oversee service flow and staff deployments to maintain hospitality standards.
• Handle cash, deposits, inventory, ordering, and receiving.
• Train and onboard new team members and guide performance.
• Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues as needed.
• Support sustainability initiatives and uphold Blue Bottle standards.
