Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee Inc, a leader in specialty coffee, seeks a Shift Supervisor to drive hospitality, uphold cafe standards, and support business objectives. You will lead by example, train teammates, and ensure smooth daily operations across beverage and food service in a fast-paced cafe setting.

Ideal candidate has supervisory experience, Barista training, and food safety certification, with a flexible schedule and a passion for coffee.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months to 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Blue Bottle Academy Barista training completed or within 90 days.
• Food safety certification required for the state/role or obtained within 30 days.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead cafe operations to ensure hospitality and standards.
• Oversee service flow for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory.
• Train and onboard new team members; supervise shifts.
• Handle cash and daily deposits; address guest concerns.
• Uphold sustainability initiatives and beverage/food quality.
