Job summary

Transdev is seeking an Operations Manager in Louisiana to act as the operations liaison with the client and Transdev teams, oversee the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor, and drive performance, training, and process improvements.

You will lead dispatch operations, coordinate with stakeholders, participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives, oversee safety evaluations and driver performance programs, and ensure alignment with corporate standards while adapting to location-specific policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams
• Preferred Education: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the shift
• Drive special projects and programs completion assigned by the Senior Operations Manager
• Attend meetings with the client to represent SOM or other managers
• Communicate clearly with Transdev and client stakeholders
• Support client’s operations leadership in dispatch, including mission assignment and meetings
• Participate in Lean/Kaizen and other Operational Excellence initiatives
• Interpret metrics, identify opportunities and implement actions
• Ensure site processes align with global standards and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee driver safety evaluations and performance-based pay program
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise subordinates and resolve operational issues
• Ensure daily operation processes like assignments and debriefs run smoothly
• Respond to outages and incidents and assist with accident reporting
• Interact with passengers as needed
• Investigate unsafe conditions and implement fixes
• Develop and schedule program work plans with client staff
• Maintain routine records and perform clerical tasks
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• All other duties as assigned
