Job summary

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred or 1–3 years in maintenance ops; relevant Ryder experience may substitute.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1–3 years in maintenance ops; Ryder experience may substitute.
• Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: analyze, plan, schedule, assign work to technicians; track productivity; conduct shift/shop meetings; review RO; ensure warranty policies.
• Labor management: supervise and develop personnel; manage performance.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships, ensure uptime, communicate PM scheduling and status updates; visit customers as needed.
• Asset management: oversee shop appearance, equipment needs, parts inventory, and vehicle specifications; ensure compliance with standards.
• Quality management: perform inspections, root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions; ensure training and safety compliance.
• Financial management: control labor and maintenance costs; manage payroll, PO approvals, invoicing, and rebillable activity.
