Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. Northridge, CA, is seeking an Operations Supervisor to assist the Operations Manager in managing the shift’s operations and personnel.

The role covers supervising technicians and coordinating tasks to meet business objectives, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The position requires cross-functional training to back up others, adherence to Ryder policies, and strong emphasis on operational metrics.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred with 1–3 years in maintenance ops.
• Maintenance/technical experience in a shop required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow, planning and scheduling, and assign work to technicians.
• Provide labor management and performance oversight of staff.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and vehicle uptime.
• Oversee parts inventory and shop tooling requirements.
• Ensure safety, quality and EPA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
