Ryder is seeking an Operations Supervisor in West Sacramento, CA to assist the Operations Manager with shift-based oversight of technicians and service staff. The role emphasizes maintaining customer satisfaction, meeting labor targets, and managing shop performance.

The position offers a path to Operations Manager, with cross-functional training and a focus on safety, quality, and cost control. Hours are 8AM–5PM, Monday–Friday, salaried with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required. Demonstrated success in a Ryder role may be substituted for this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: planning and scheduling, assign work to technicians, productivity tracking and analysis.
• Labor management: coaching and development of personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships, ensure vehicle uptime and communication.
• Asset management: oversee shop tooling, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Quality management: inspections, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions; ensure safety and compliance.
• Financial management: cost control, payroll, P.O. approval, invoicing, and re-billable activity.
