HMSHost in New York City is seeking a Manager I to lead QSR restaurant operations, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, staffing, and adherence to high standards under company policies. You will supervise daily activities, assist the GM/AGM, participate in hiring decisions, manage schedules, enforce safety and HACCP guidelines, and oversee cash handling.

This role requires 2+ years of food and beverage experience with supervisory or lead experience, plus strong communication skills; HMSHost offers

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food & beverage experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in hospitality.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures per policies.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates within one or more units.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring input, promotions, or terminations to GM.
• Assign tasks, prepare schedules, ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure breaks and meals are taken; keep displays clean and appealing.
• Maintain equipment; operate cash register and handle cash per policy.
• Monitor health and safety procedures and report concerns to GM.
• Perform health and safety activities per Associate Health & Safety guide.
• Place orders, receive goods, process invoices; update contact info for associates.
