Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead the drive-in’s operations and staff during assigned shifts. The role supports the General Manager/Operating Partner in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining cost controls and compliance with company standards.

Key duties include training and directing shift staff, ensuring smooth operation, managing staffing, and performing opening/closing tasks while escalating any issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (wage/hour, EEO, etc.).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.

Responsibilities

• Train and manage shift employees during the shift.
• Lead drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift and perform opening/closing duties.
• Handle guest and employee issues during shift and escalate as needed.
• Monitor costs, inventory, and quality standards during shift to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
