Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in. You will train and back up other crew, ensure quality food, cleanliness, and safety, and help deliver great guest experiences.

Key duties include supervising Team Members, directing staffing, handling openings/closes, monitoring inventory and costs, maintaining records, and resolving guest concerns with courtesy.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy while multi-tasking.
• Willingness to adhere to SONIC appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operational standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Maintain files, records and required documentation.
• Ensure guests are served with courtesy and resolve complaints.
