Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead drive-in operations during shifts, supervise staff, and ensure a high-quality guest experience. The role involves opening/closing duties, staff scheduling, and enforcing standards across food preparation, service, and sanitation.

The position requires restaurant management experience, knowledge of labor laws, and strong communication skills to supervise teams and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• General restaurant or retail knowledge.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, lead, and assign drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead and manage drive-in operations for optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Address guest issues/escalations during shift.
• Address employee issues/escalations during shift.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and costs during shift.
• Maintain drive-in records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Perform all station duties as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness throughout shift.
• Attend work regularly.
