Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee shift operations, train staff, and ensure top customer service. You will manage drive-in staffing, perform opening/closing duties, and handle guest and employee issues while maintaining cost controls and quality standards.

You will ensure compliance with all policies, health and safety laws, and restaurant procedures, while performing multiple station duties and upholding sanitation practices throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of restaurant management or 1 year retail management preferred.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, lead, and assign drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle guest issues/concerns during shift.
• Monitor drive-in costs and inventory to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Perform all station duties as necessary during shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work areas.
