Job summary

Subway Group is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, scheduling and teamwork. The role includes training Sandwich Artists, supervising staff, managing inventories, and ensuring equipment works properly, with day/evening/weekend shifts offered across locations.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of restaurant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional and inviting.
• Control inventory and manage stock throughout shifts.
• Schedule and supervise staff, and cascade training to Sandwich Artists.
• Complete paperwork as needed and maintain equipment in proper working order.

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
