Job summary

Subway is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, and staff scheduling. You’ll cascade training to Sandwich Artists, supervise shifts, and ensure equipment is functional.

Full-time or part-time roles with day/evening/weekend shifts available depending on location. Prior restaurant experience preferred; high school diploma required. You’ll gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Shift management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

In addition to the role of a typical Sandwich Artist®, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Cascading training to Sandwich Artists™ on existing and new responsibilities
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Practicing inventory control standards
• Ensuring equipment is in proper working order during shift
• Completing paperwork as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Communication and organizational skills

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
