Job summary

MOD is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, train new hires, and uphold MOD’s standards. You will guide the squad, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and contribute to smooth operations across all tasks.

You will flex to restaurant needs, lead by example, manage cash, inventory, and shift checklists, while maintaining MOD’s welcoming atmosphere and community focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Experience mentoring, training, or informal leadership.
• Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to follow and enforce processes and standards; coach with empathy.
• Ability to stay calm in high-volume periods.
• Food safety and/or alcohol certification within 30 days of start date (as required by law).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift to ensure the restaurant is welcoming, clean, organized, and meets MOD standards.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad members and support new program rollouts.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment, including online ordering, catering, and customer review systems.
• Ensure food safety using MOD tools and standards in Back of House and Front of House.
• Listen and resolve squad member or guest concerns; escalate when needed.
• Manage cash within the shift, including change, cash handling, refunds, and safe access.
• Take inventory and place orders with GM support.
• Follow opening/midday/closing checklists and use tools to complete tasks on time.
• Stay informed via email for information from Slice and other sources.
